Flash-based, it's surprisingly tiny yet packs enough tech to beat the living daylights out of the Flip Mino HDs and Creative Vados of the world. A bit expensive, it compensates by being feature-rich.

Shaped like a Collins glass, it feels comfortable to hold and harbours a 25x optical zoom lens. Much like its cousins, the 2.7-inch touchscreen is where all the action is you can literally puppet-play every aspect of this camcorder via touch. The UI is skillfully designed to complement the touchscreen, so you can find your way around in no time. The zoom rocker is great to use and allows for smooth and controlled zooming.

Other controls are easily accessible, including the output ports. The lens is protected from the elements of nature by a manual sliding cover. Slapped with 16GB of onboard flash memory and another 16GB via a bundled memory card, the HDR-CX150E is compatible with both Memory Stick and SD formats. Employing the highly sensitive Exmor R sensor, it is also capable of churning out decent quality videos. The focusing system is relatively fast.
