The DSC-TX7 is the latest addition that Sony has in its list of slim and stylish compact cameras. To start with the TX7 features a full metal body and looks sleek enough to warrant more than a second look. The camera's front lens cover flap powers on the TX7 when slid down.
You will find the on/off switch placed towards the top right which can be used to power on the camera when your only requirement is to view images without exposing the lens. The shutter release button is well placed along with the zoom rocker that sits perfectly on the edge; allowing you to easy zoom In or out without changing the way the camera is actually held. Here you will also notice a quick view and video mode button placed just above the 3.5-lnch wide display. Turn on the TX7 and you are greeted to a super fine LCD display that packs in over 9 million pixels.
There are a total of seven preset modes apart from the 12 basic scene modes. However the best feature that the TX7 can boast about is the "Hand¬held Twilight" mode. What this does Is take six different pictures in burst mode and combine them as a single image. So even in a dimly lit room the camera is able to capture decently exposed frames with very little noise.
