We recommend this one for the scene modes. When it comes to budget point-and-shoots, there's very little by way of fiddling with settings, so it's either auto or scene modes. We would suggest using the latter, since it uses the best settings for the best situations and does what would ordinarily involve technical know-how of exposure compensation and aperture settings.

The Pentax Optio E30 is a compact digital camera from Pentax that features a 3x Optical Zoom, 2.4 inch LCD screen, 7.1 mega pixel image sensor and 11 megabytes of internal memory. The digicam is powered by a AA battery. With the release of the Optio E30 camera, Pentax has provided consumers with high resolution at a small cost. A less-than-whopping 11 MB internal memory isn't really up to the job of handling photos taken using the Optio E30's highest settings and gets full after just three snaps. Luckily, the internal expansion slot for SO memory cards comes to the rescue. Add in a 1GB card, which are as cheap as chips these days, and suddenly you've got room for around 280 photos. It's power hungry, but what do you expect from a camera that costs around.
