At first we liked it, the Neo Raize. A nice little portable media player to the false airs of iPod touch, has a superb screen of 11 cm diagonal (4.3 inch) and wrapped functions: playing videos, music, pictures and e- books, voice recorder, clock, calendar. Only 8 GB of Flash storage, but the capacity can be boosted by a micro SD card.
Nice, but too little reactive: we must support long and good aim with your fingertip to navigate through menus. Audio player mode, no display album art, but simple lists.
Images, they are well presented in miniature, but the navigation is painfully slow. More annoying, the Raize seems to refuse to display Jpeg modified computer, even by a simple rotation.
It makes for videos that Raize is doing best: it reads the files directly DivX or XviD without recompression, so they do not exceed 800 x 480, and stands 5 good hours on battery or 2 movies continuously according to our tests. Small problem anyway, the subtitles. Srt is not managed.
