The developer DICE Studio ventured to the action game Mirror's EdgeIn early 2009 a playful experiment. The title felt different thanmost other games and could be correctly assigned to any genre. Long, despite good valuations disappointed Mirror's Edge in sales and itremained uncertain whether there will be a successor.

Mirror'sEdge 2 is still far from an official confirmation, but at least thereare new reasons not to give up hope. In an interview with theEnglish-language website SPOnG spoke DICE Producer Patrick Liu aboutthe potential of a second part.

Liu was to develop a successor is no time wasted. When asked whetherthe games market receptive to a Mirror's Edge 2 would be, he replied,"Yes, I definitely think that would be something that people arewilling. There are many supporters of the first part, it's almostlike a cult, we know the strengths and weaknesses! we had in thegame. If we have a new game should publish, we know what we need toimprove and how we could attract a larger audience. So I'm sure thatthere is a market for it. "

The publisher Electronic Arts would ofcourse play, which, given the weak sales of the first part is notnecessarily likely. After all, confirmed by EA Games president FrankGibeau in June this year that the brand Mirror's Edge has not yetbeen buried.
