Last month we details on an email that detached among Xbox 360 gamers who were invited to contribute in Microsoft's prize program, and today Gaming Target has exposed details about the experiment.

Microsoft is checking a three-tiered program where players will be asked into the Gray, Green or Orange groups. While we speculated weather the plunder would be in the form of avatar clothing, it turns out Microsoft is really giving out Microsoft Points. That said, the vague language employed in the program description appears to allude to Microsoft placing restrictions on what you can purchase with your points: "...every month, The Rewards Squad will send you an email with an update on the points you've made and the cool stuff you can get." The trial program will last for six months and after three months participants will be capable of begin with their acquired points.
