After lately sleeting New Super Mario Bros. Wii as a masterwork and counting the unique Excitebike in GameSpy's 50 Favorite Console Games of the '80s characteristic, it might appear a little odd for me to release the WiiWare-exclusive Excitebike: World Rally as thoroughly middling. But that's the weird thing about reminiscence: The game I played on the NES back in 1987 was much fun...in 1987. Here, on the Wii, in 2009, it's nothing chiefly special. While Excitebike was certainly a great game in the '80s, it's far from eternal.
