Whilefollowing the economic crisis, many development studios have beenclosed, it seems some industry representatives now go to get better.Sun announced the Avalanche Studios today the opening of a branch inNew York.


The leadership of the new team takesover the former Atari and Activision veteran David Grijns. The new,approximately 50-strong studio is already in autumn 2011 to startwork and was entrusted with the development of a new AAA project forHD consoles, handhelds and PC.


The title will be characterized by alarge game world and comprehensive online features. The productionwill take over the former Creative Director of Minds Park, RolandLesterlin. A release date is aiming at the Avalanche in 2014.
