During an investor call today announcedthe publisher Take-Two, a successor of the detective game LA Noire is(almost) a done deal. CEO Strauss Zelnick said at the conference alsothat LA Noire, the "most successful release" of the lastfinancial year and have become a key product in the portfolio ofTake-Two's stockholders.
"This groundbreaking game fromRockstar has set by his movie-like style, new standards for videogames and is an important brand for the company."
Although LA Noire received high marksin the international press were the sales figures worse than manyanalysts expected. According to publisher Take-Two until the end ofJune about four million copies were sold. How many were sold also isunknown.
That Take-Two decided to takethemselves to the brand portfolio in half, developer Team Bondi isnot. This had to close in October, also claimed to be relatively poorworking conditions.
