Obsidian Entertainment wants to combatthe trade of used games. The sale of used games is many developersand publishers have long been a thorn in the eye. This also appliesto the team at Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout: New Vegas ) - so itgoes at least from a recent interview with the show's chief creativeofficer Chris Avellone.

Among other things, he took it to thedigital distribution of games as a possible tool in the fight againstthe trade of used games and chose some pithy words:

"One of the biggest advantages ofdigital distribution, reducing the market for used games. I hope thatdigital distribution catches the trade of used games to the heart. "

However, this was the opinion ofAvellone not the only advantage of the digital marketing of games.Among other things, he is counting on it even more flexibility andindependence from the publishers.

"One of the things I look for inFallout: New Vegas was well liked, was that the digital distributionof DLCs have made many things much more flexible - at least in regardto the schedule. You must not worry about the production time to makeDVDs, so you can attach to it an extra week if you want to do somethings not right."
