IO Interactive's Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days are now authorized, as the Square Enix Europe studio has stated it a 2010 release. The new game happens in Shanghai, China where IO will launch a new "visual experience" to the license. Apparently in line with the two pieces of grainy security cam footage they’ve been launched of the game so far, IO's new approach was stimulated by documentary shooting and YouTube-era user-generated video.

IO's general manager Niels Jorgensen says admirers should appear onward to having their criticism from the first game addressed in the follow-up and to be prepared for a "shock" when the real game is shown.
