Volition's "Get Your Ass Back to Mars" occasion for Red Faction: Guerrilla seems to acquire players back into the game's multiplayer forms by offering quintuple XP from today until Monday, December 21st. By ahead five times the skill online, Volition hopes gamers will go after the harder-to-reach achievements/trophies, akin to the 120,000 XP Ostrich Hammer. For the period of the event Volition is also providing away free DLC codes via Twitter.

The press release recommends that only the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of the game will be part of this event, so PC players appear to be left out.
