It is now possible to opt for a low-power processor Sandy Bridge Core i3-2357M with the 11.6-inch gamer Alienware M11x R3. So while the Alienware M11x R3 was launched at 1048.99 euros in April 2011 with Sandy Bridge processor low-power Core i5-2537 m (1.4 GHz), we can now get this 11.6-inch with a Sandy Bridge low-power Core i3-2357M running at 1.3 GHz.


As with the i5-2537 m, the graphics associated with the Core i3-2357M is a Geforce GT 540M 1GB dedicated as if we chose the Core i7-2617M, it has a Geforce GT 540M 2 GB dedicated.

The Core of i3-2357M has two 1.3 GHz cores (4 threads), a 3 MB L3 cache and a TDP of 17W. Engraved in 32nm, it supports up to 16GB DDR3 1066/1333 MHz RAM on 2 slots and includes some Intel GMA 3000 HD from 350-950 MHz. If it has Hyper-Threading Technology and Virtualization (VT-x), it lacks the Turbo Boost mode like the other Core i3.
