Intel expanded its family of SandyBridge processors belonging to the series of Celeron.After the B710,B800 and B840, it was the turn of the Celeron Dual Core 857 to reveala low CPU consumption.
Very close to the Celeron Dual Core847, the new Celeron Dual Core 857 is distinguished by a slightlyhigher frequency of 1.2 GHz (1.1 GHz cons).
This is a low-energy model which has aTDP of 17W, has 2 cores and includes a L3 cache of 2 MB Engraved in32nm like all the Sandy Bridge processors, the Celeron Dual Core 857includes a portion Intel GMA 3000 HD from 350-1000 MHz and a memorycontroller supporting DDR3 1066/1333 MHz.Lacks the Turbo or the Hyper-Threading,however it benefits from virtualization technology VT-x. The CeleronDual Core 857 is displayed at 134 dollars, a rate similar to theCeleron Dual Core 847.Due to its TDP, it aims to integrate laptopswith low power consumption with good battery life.
