Thread: VLC 1.1.11: security fixes and improved iTunes

VideoLAN has released over the weekendan update to its media player VLC now in version 1.1.11, fixessecurity flaws and improves the interaction with iTunes.

Two holes are filled by VLC 1.1.11.They allowed via an AVI or Real infected cause a buffer overflowleading to then be able to execute arbitrary code.

Improvements are also planned infull-screen plugin with Firefox on Windows, improved support formultimedia keys on the keyboard to avoid a conflict with iTunes forMac while running Linux, it now closes correctly when a custominterface is used. VideoLAN also mentions a 30 MB when installing MacOS X.
