Thread: Firefox 5.0: Release Candidate available

The Mozilla Foundation has released theRelease Candidate of its new Firefox 5.0 final version of which isprovided in five days. Mozilla, however, opted to no longer offeredthe choice of distribution channel to the user from the'About, anovelty that had been introduced recently: it allowed to choose theversions Nightly, Aurora or Beta the latter offering the less bugsand gathering the beta but the final versions.

Thus if the user opts to download aversion Aurora, he may not since it only access draftsAurora.However, it can have three versions (Nightly, Aurora and Beta/ Final) installed on their computer.





Regarding the recent additions toFirefox 5.0, there is support for CSS animations, improvementsrelated to canvas, JavaScript, memory consumption, performance andthe standards réseaaux HTML5, XHR, MathML and SMIL.

The Mozilla Foundation also announcedgreater integration at the desktop environment for Linux or betterinsight into Do Not Track for the respect of privacy.
