Thread: Compatibility with the MSI GX620 Core2Quad

I am owner of the MSI GX620, aftermuch research I have no certainty about the compatibility of theQ9000, Q9100, q9200 or qx with my pc, some forums on the Q9100 andq9200 us were not compatible with the bios epoch of 1.12 (late 2009)but since a new bios is available on a 1.14 (2010) and have nocompatibility of the new quad core with it.


So I am looking for an owner of theGX620 has tested one of the Quad Cities with the latest bios beforepurchasing the Q9100.

Well I just tried the quad Q9100 ES model QGMU on my GX620 bios 1.14 with the original 90W power supply, the PC starts without the screen lights up and turns off after 4 seconds, j 'atend a 120W PSU to try again.

conclusion:

After mounting the Core2Quad Q9000 with the Q9100 and the power supply and the latest bios 90/120/180w 1.14 The PC starts then stops after 4 seconds and then restarts but nothing happens, the fan runs but the screen does not light and no keyboard key acts, so the GX620 seems to be inconsistent with the quads unless the problem comes from memory because I noticed that the pc (laptop) equipped quads and Chipster PM/GM45 work with DDR3 instead of DDR2 (800MHz max) for the GX620 can be qu'overclocker memory can be the solution but the latest bios do not allow more than one home to give the access.
