As promised thing due and we're back on the Ultrabook or rather ZenBook Asus UX21 now available in France in a version less than 1000 euros called Asus ZenBook UX21E KX004-processor that integrates a Sandy Bridge Core i5 low power, an SSD of 128 GB, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. Huron River in Intel platform, it adopts a 11.6-inch format, weighs 1.1 kg and measures just 17mm thick.
Unlike the Acer Aspire S3, it features not one but a hybrid storage of 128 GB SSD, storage capacity certainly lower than mechanical hard drives but sufficient for a machine of this type in order to install software and store documents. In addition, the advantage of SSD is to be silent, less sensitive to shocks and more responsive than a traditional hard drive: in practice, the starting and stopping are fast as the application launches.
In performance always, there are 4 GB of RAM and a processor Sandy Bridge low-power Core i5-2467M that deliver good performance in multitasking and everyday use.
No dedicated graphics program which is not surprising but some Intel GMA 3000 HD integrated processor that lets you play HD video smoothly, and even occasionally to play old titles not resource intensive 3D.
Side connections precisely, there is also a wireless module Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI video outputs micro-and mini-VGA port and 2 USB audio with a USB 3.0: transfer with USB 3.0 devices are much faster than USB 2.0. So rather limited connectivity with the notable absence of card reader and Ethernet port.
