Thread: Blank display on laptop

I bought a acclimated Dell Inspiron 5150 for additional parts. Able-bodied it came with everything, but was told the video was not working(No angel on the screen) It admiral up, fan turns on and about 10seconds after the fan will about-face off. The "Power" ablaze will still be on, as able-bodied as the computer(Have to advance the ability button to shut it down)


So I ample ability as able-bodied try to fix it. I absorbed it up to an alien monitor. No picture. Swapped the ram to see if that was the issue. It was not. Took it afar and swapped the cartoon agenda for a accepted alive one. Didn't break the problem. Is the motherboard possibly gone? Or what abroad can I try?

Did you test another CPU board? (no, there is no affordable diagnostic than that.)

No, I did not test another CPU board. I am not a PC guy, so was only wondering if there was other alternatives out there.

I got it doing a google search. I did it three times. Powers up(With only AC plugged in), diplay is even blank, and fan shuts off.

I had attempt the former generic readjust.
