Only as its forefathers in the Jawbone line, the Icon HD has fashion to extra. It's the like perfect size as the last Jawbone Icon, assessing 0.7 by 1.8 by 0.9 inches (HWD) and weighing only 0.3 ounces. The 2-fitted, textured front is a rich shade of navy color, when the remaining of the headset is black color. There is a power change on the rear, among the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS), which commands the Icon's noise nullification, and the ear tip. Powering the device on or off is instantaneous, and the location of this switch assists to avoid any accidental power-ups. There is a multi -function Talk button about the rear border of the headset.
The HD arrives with seven variant sets of ear tips, having three that sit in your ear, and four that use an ear hook. There is even an AC charger with a 4.5-inch micro - USB cable, the default option ear tip suit me steadfastly, and I wore the test unit comfortably throughout a day of testing. When you aren't with a call, you can acquire an hear able battery alert by tipping on the headset's Talk button. A full charge accepts about 90 minutes, and I acquired 4 hours 56 minutes of talk time, which is outstanding for such a tiny headset.
The Icon's handsome titling translates to the Nerd, which contributes the similar textured particularization. It appears as an ultra-tiny thumb drive. At only above an inch long, though, it can be simply to miss if you're not careful. Afterward you fill it into a PC or a Mac, you click a button on the Nerd for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Turn on the HD while keeping the Talk button and the two devices will automatically sync with one another; once synced, there is no requirement to repeat this step again.
Call quality is nice. Much as the fantastic Jawbone Era , calls voice clearly hear able, rich, and full of music. Volume goes fabulously loud, also, so you won't have problem hearing anybody indoors or out. The Icon HD's adaptability of volume does an especially great job of equilibrating earpiece sound with background noise while you're outdoors. There were no clicks, bulges of sibilant sounds in my tests, either. But when sound quality is great overall, it however is not rather as sharp as on the Plantronics Voyager Pro+, although this will not bother most users.
Transmission quality is excellent. Calls produce over the Icon HD sounded smooth and natural on the other terminal, and noise cancellation is potent, thanks to Jawbone's Noise Assassin 2.5 noise cancellation technology. I did experience some slight wind noise, which we even saw on the Era, but no one's going to have problem hearing you clearly.
