Samsung Electronics has launched the much awaited Nexus S smartphone in the Indian market. It has also launched five new Galaxy smartphones based on the Android 2.2 platform - galaxy Pro, Ace, Fit, Pop and Galaxy Pop CDMA. Developed in partnership with Google, Nexus S is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread as. It is the first handset from Samsung with a 4.0 inch Super Clear Curved LCD screen and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
The Galaxy Pro boasts of 2.8 inch display with Touch and QWERTY and operates on Froyo. The handset also has advanced exchange active sync and a 3.0*megapixel camera. TIle Samsung GALAXY Ace (S5830), based on the Android 2.2 as, provides users with a premium experience with its 3.5 inch HVGA TFT display and its optimum 800 1hz processor that enables con*sumers to experience smooth web browsing, hi-quality 3D graphic performance and faster data processing.
The Samsung GALAXY Fit (S5670) comes with a 3.31-inch QYGA TIT display, Android 2.2 as, optimised user interface with TouchWiz 3.0, hybrid wid gets and a 5MP camera. Positioned as the affordable 3G smartphone, the Samsung GALAXY POP is priced and also comes in CDMA version.
