Despite promising new (Optimus 2X, Black Optimus, Optimus 3D), LG hasdecided to review its sales targets downward in 2011. Resulted in adownward spiral, LG saw its market share has already melted manymonths.
Sales in the first half was not up to theexpectations of LG which has elapsed that 50 million mobile phones(more than 10 million smartphones). The second half should be better,but not enough to achieve that 2011 had set the group.
Result,LG revises sales targets smartphones from 30 million to 24 millionunits this year, and an overall target of sales (traditional mobilephones and smartphones) to 114 million, against 150 millionoriginally planned.
