Default LG Optimus Pro C660 with 3 Mega Pixel camera

It is a touch screen Android phone on aQWERTY keyboard. It got prescribed in July in Italy and was availablein India last month. It is powered by 800 MHz processor and runs onAndroid 2.3.4 . The phone has 2.3 inch TFT capacitive touch screendisplay and a complete QWERTY keyboard. The phone has nice curveshape and a good build quality. It is 12.9 mm thick and weighs 129g.

There is a physical menu button, homebutton, back button and a search button underneath the screen. Thenumbers are with the left on the QWERTY keyboard on an altalternative to switch among alphabets and numbers / symbols. Thereare shortcut buttons on the last row of the keyboard for the uppercase characters, browser, calendar and email. The delete key and theenter key are with the far right. The keyboard is not verycomfortable to type if you have large fingers, but you can handle toacquire the words right if you have smaller fingers as me.

The volume rocker is with the leftslope. The Micro USB port is with the right slope. The power / lockbutton and the 3.5mm audio jack is on the top. There is a 3MP fixedfocus camera is with the rear along with the speaker grill next toit. When you open the rear cover you can watch the 1500 mAh Li-ionbattery. When you remove the battery there is a SIM card slot. TheMicro SD card slot is with the right slope bottom that backs up MicroSD cards up to 32GB. The LG Optimus Pro has a 3MP fixed focus cameraon VGA video recording at a maximum of 640 x 480 pixel result.

The camera alternatives containalternative to alter image size, ISO settings, White Balance, Timer,Image quality, Shutter sounds and Geo tagging. There are as wellwith-display camera alternatives such as digital zoom up to 4x,Contrast and scene modes. It has the common LG UI that is like to theother Optimus handsets on the Weather application with the homescreen and bottom bar with dialer, contacts, text messages andApplications. There are option to set up to 7 home screens. You canas well plus LG app widgets and other application widgets with anydisplays.

The drop down bar has shortcuts forsilent/ vibrate, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Data. The Music player canas well be controlled from the notification bar. The lock display isidentical to the last LG Optimus handsets, you require to pull thedisplay shade up to unlock. The Menu has several style options suchas Horizontal, Vertical grid and list view. You can also renamecategory or add new category and add applications in that. The Musicplayer plays MP3, AAC, Amr and some of the usual audio formats fairlygood. There is no equalizer. The sound quality is fairly good in theheadphones and the loudspeaker. The Video Player supports .avi, and.mp4 but does not support .mkv and high result 720p videos.

The FM Radio has auto scan option. Youcan edit the station name manually. There is loudspeaker / headphoneplayback button on the top and the radio on / off button on the RadioUI. The Dialer is identical to other Android dialers and you can usethe on-screen input and keyboard to dial a number. The call logdisplay recent incoming, outgoing and missed calls. You could Syncfrom your Google contacts and also import contacts from SIM andexport it to SIM or Micro SD card.

The latest applications can be viewedfrom the home screen when you press and keep the home button and theapplication manager allows your view running and installedapplication and screens the RAM usage. The phone arrivespre-installed applications for Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, GoogleSearch Google Maps, Gtalk, Voice Search, Places and Navigation. Fewof the utility applications have Calculator, Calendar, Clock, Polarisdocument viewer and Voice Recorder. You can as well download applications from the Android Market and theLG Smart World app store. The Downloaded applications are listedunderneath separately and the new applicatios are marked like N. The800 MHz processor does alright although playing games or seeingvideo. The 256MB RAM is disappointing and it tells you to close fewapplications when the memory is low, which is bothering. The lowresult screen creates the visibility hard in few applications andhome screen widgets. The battery lasts for a day for heavy users andlasts for more as compare to a day on average usage.
