If you are someone who doesn't believe in spending a huge amount on cell phones but'crave to hold a beauty in your hand, Olive's V-G8000 is for you. This entry-level handset that comes from one of the new mobile handset manufacturers in India, has an executive feel.
It has a well-laid-out QWERTY keypad and an all black exterior that doesn't have the cheap Chinese-phone-like finish. But be warned: the build quality of the headset still isn't the best. Being an entry-level device, the core functionality is calling and texting, and it does splendidly well in these departments. The only multimedia feature that it has is the FM radio. The radio reception is good and the sound output is clear and loud. Up to 10 channels can be auto saved and changed using '*' key. Another plus is its powerful 1500 mAh Li-ion battery, which lasted for two and a half days with calling, texting and radio after a single charge.
If you are looking for an entry-level handset then go for this with your eyes closed. And if you are worried about its performance then perhaps the company's promise to replace any faulty unit over the counter within first 100 days of purchase should help.
