RIM BlackBerry Pearl 9100 The RIM BlackBerry Pearl 9100 is the descendant of the unique smartphone of the same name. The Pearl 9100 can be utilized around the world and will be well-suited with GSM quad-band networks able to UMTS tri-band 3G. In terms of data transmission this phone sustains GPRS, Edge and HSDPA 1.8 to 3.6 Mbit/s. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity is also contained. The Pearl will house a detachable Li-Ion battery, a camera with LED flash and an extension slot for MicroSD/SDHC. A standard 3.5mm headphone jack has been included also. Multimedia characteristics include MPEG video playback, and support for MP3 and AAC audio files. Standard smartphone characteristics such a QWERTY keyboard, personalization, games, an organizer are contained too.
