Red face Motorola Razr 2 VB

    Motorola Razr 2 VB

The latest in the Motorola Razr series, the V8 is much slimmer, flashier and packs in more features than its predecessor V3. Cu rrently available in only dark pearl gray, the V8 is made up of stainless steel and chemically hardened glass. The glossy GOOD POINTS Best external screen ever, touch sensitive external screen controls BAD POINTS No 3G, lacks memory card expansion Great looks and build, but no 3G and memory expansion finish of the phone provides an attractive 100k.The 2-megapixel camera is integrated on the front face (flap) of the phone.

Not the lightest of Motorolas, the V8 weighs 117 grams. What differentiates this from the previous versions of Razr is an external screen with contextual touch interaction that is the sharpest to date. The external screen features a 262K colour screen that is capable of displaying at 320 x 240 resolution. The V8s internal screen is bright and large. The keypad too is nicely designed with ample space between the keys. The keypad build is like almost all other Razr series phones.

Running on Linux, the interface of the phone is much improved and refreshing. The navigation is simple icon- based and easy to use. Good thing about the phone is that you can control the MP3 player and can read text messages without opening the phone. The sound quality from the earphones as well as the phone speaker is good.

The external screen's contextual touch interaction vibrates slightly when touched;this communicates to the user that the key has been pressed. On the multimedia front, the phone can play music, and video.
The performance of its 2-SPECS mega pixel camera was just about average. The images looked good on the screen, but when copied on the PC it wasn't that pretty. The phone supports EDGE and Bluetooth.A gripe that we have with the V8 is that it comes with either 512MB of on board storage or with 2GB.There is no room for expansion here. The V8 is clearly the best Razr to date. But it's a shame that there is no 3G and memory card expansion slots.
