Straight out of the box, two things catch your eye. First, the lack of weight. At less than 110 grams, this phone glides squarely in the featherweight category. Second is the sense of compactness despite the 4-inch display. The 4-inch IPS LCD display is touted as the "best display in the world". While it isn't the best, it's actually very good. The brightness levels are quite high, which makes setting the level at 30-40 per cent more than enough. The auto bright*ness also has two modes best battery and best performance. Enough legibility in bright sun*light, but you will have to put in an effort to read some of the text.
A lot of bass, set the subwoofer to + 2dB, and there's enough punch to throw things off shelves. The bass adjustment dial is on the subwoofer itself. The AVR-1311 is "one level above the basic" receiver, and only falls behind only with the no HD upscale and just one optical audio input. The SYS-391HT speakers pack in a very powerful punch. Combined, the DHT-1311XP is a very good option, if this falls in your budget. The IGHz processor is the Cortex A8- the single core type. Inter*face remains slick, and apps open up quite quickly.

Weirdly though, there is a lag in the time the screen unlock button (power key) is pressed, and the display actually comes on. Same problem persists with the proximity sensor. Remove the phone from the ear, and it again takes a couple of seconds before the display lights up again. While there's a lot of real estate .on the screen, the typing isn't very precise. While you may feel that you're typing the correct word/alphabet, it may mostly turn out to be wrong. problem remains, what*ever keyboard layout you may be using. No such problem in the landscape mode. The 5MP camera isn't as good. This one faces a huge shutter lag issue. Result- heavily blurred images! The clarity is okay, if you have clicked a stationary object, in good lighting conditions. Good points for the lack of noise.
