The Philips GoGear is a small, compactMP3 Player with 2.5 inch display and 4GB of memory. The low price ofthe GoGear is just one point on which to convince the MP3 player fromPhilips in the test. Already its predecessor, the GoGear Spark was areliable and solid MP3 player, but once again the raga makes somethings better.
For audiobook fans a more importantpoint is that the GoGear is again compatible with the specialaudiobook format from Audible. Philips delivers the GoGear with 2 and4 GB, I recommend for price-performance point of view, the 4GBversion. The software "Songbird" is also included and iscomparable to the famous iTunes, the service is at least fairlyintuitive and simple.
The Philips GoGear does in a good andbalanced sound impression. The supplied headphones are good aseveryday headphones, but really good headphones cost more than allthe known fast raga. Anyone who puts an emphasis on clean and reallygood sound does not come around to purchase better headphones. Butthe cable conductors to fulfill its purpose first. The good sound ofthe MP3 player may come from the Philips own codes "full sound"that preserves the compressed MP3 Daste and optimized.
Philips claims that the GoGear Ragaholds by 22 hours at a time. I could not quite reach in my test, butI've also played around a lot and tried everything. So I came toaround 20 hours of music playback, which is a very good value.
