    Default Requirements for SACD playback

Want to have my SACD capable Blu-ray player to run on a new AVR Receiver. On what should I look for? Or anyone can play the modern AVR? I know there is a thread SACD 5.1 sound over HDMI? but after reading this document I am confused more than informed. Sorry if I have to say that.

In principle the player can only spend the SACD sound as multi channel PCM, then it will work with any current AVR. If the sound is to be output without rescission then the AVR DSD has over HDMI can. This may be any current Yamaha Onkyo and Pioneer. Where is the smaller Pioneer models this capability limited to stereo?

Where is the question of whether to DSD over HDMI is not the conversion of DSD> PCM just moved to the AVR is still taking place. AVR makes no changes in the DSD signal. If the cover to cover are transported as DSD, you have no PEQ, no bass management, and above all no LCC. Will you use then before the DSD signal is converted to PCM. With some devices that probably actually convert to PCM 44.1 kHz. In this case you might as well the CD read track and has the same.

Yes, some BD player DSD can not spend, but basically convert to PCM. These include Denon DVD-A1UD, 4010UD DBP, DBP-A100, Marantz UD-8004 and 9004. Said player convert to CD format. Therefore, the SACD playback capability is almost pointless.

Where did the data come from? Do you know if the Marantz SR 7005 receives via HDMI?

Done. The Marantz SR7005 can not receive DSD bit stream from SACD. It should be possible for SR7007. Some BD / SACD player in turn bit stream output setting the SACD sound automatically between DSD and PCM when the AVR "understand" the other one can explicitly DSD output on and off. I am not fond of the automatic, because the recognition of the AVR to process audio formats are not clean in any chain work. Check For Denon, Marantz and Pioneer therefore prefer beforehand whether SACD runs together with the AVR as desired and may return to the dealer agree.
