LG just can't get sufficient of that touch-screen machinery that's been creation its brown series phone fly out the door. Now they've functional it to a very smooth and fashionable video MP3 player in 2GB and 4GB flavor.
It's got flat, spotless, silvery lines, mirror on the side and rough on the front and back, but at 52x90x10mm (about the size of credit card, albeit the one that ate all the pies), it slips into the pouch very satisfactorily indeed. There's a normal slide button on top to bring it to life, then it's all forbidden from the touch screen. The basic-looking on-screen interface in black, red and white lets the cool side down a bit but it does the job.You can install LG’s Media middle software, or just drag and drop files onto the device. It will sync with your window Media Player and will play MP3, MP3 VBR, WMA and OGG tracks but no AAC - boo. It should accept MPEG4 and WMV9 format for video but we had problem adding video from our PC, even when LG's Media Center software claim to have rehabilitated them. The test clips looked sharp and clear though, and played reasonably smoothly.
Resonance on the complete earphones was decent enough and it will go noticeably louder than the false volume level set on the bipod, which is nice. There can be a little bit too much messing around with menus to find the tracks you want, but once you find your music there are loads of EQ setting for playing with the sound, though not all of them offer much of an option to each other.
Extras include a microphone for voice notes and a couple of games that make use of the touch screen, though the orders look like they were translating in Seoul using an internet translator. All in all it's a very decent little media party in your pocket.
