The Samsung YP-T1 0 is an all black digital media player that can play music, pictures, videos,and even FM radio stations. Besides this, the player features Bluetooth so that you enjoy music wirelessly. However, you cannot transfer files via Bluetooth.

It hasa good buildqualitywith a plastic front and metal back. The T1 0 features touch-sensitive controls, which we found to swing between being hyper and under sensitive at times. Hence the clicks were often over registered. Out of the seven touch-sensitive pads, four are used for navigation, one for returning to the present state and the other pops up properties of the menu.The navigation of the T1 0 is a no brainer and users will be able to access it at first go.

The display quality is very good with decent brightness and contrast .The navigation of this player is also refreshing with flash animated menus.The display also features customisable cool transitions like the animated character of'Sammy; the cartoon dog that runs and jumps during music playback.The other is a more'mature' option a kind of Pendant menu view.

Along with music, video,and FM tuner capability, it also features a voice recorder and text reader which can be found in the menu labelled 'Prime Pack:
Another addition incorporated in the T1 0 is called 'Oatacasts: (RSS Feeds).These RSS feeds are imported into the Oatacast menu as text files. However, each feed needs to be manually synced.

It performed equally well in sound output and video playbackWe would rate the sound as a bit above average. Playing different music tracks made us realise that there was a lack of warmth in the lows though. These come with Samsungs proprietary ONSe sound technology, which the company claims enhances the sound quality.There are various other preset equaliser settings and user defined as well to let you enhance the sound quality.with the T1 0, you can browse music files via the folders or through 103 tags.

Video playback on the T1 0 is a pleasure. However, you cannot drag and drop anyWMV and MPEG4 file for viewing.To watch, you first need to convert the video files with the bundled Samsung video converter software. To conclude, we can say that the T1 0 is a visual treat both design wise and display wise. The player is also loaded tothe hilt with good sound quality. And if you get used to the touch sensitive navigation of the player then we sincerely recommend this for pocketing.
