In iPhone is one of the most anticipated product launches in 2007. So how did it do? According Blekfrayrs, an analyst firm that monitors from Apple stores iPhone sales exceeded 500000 last week. Here is a quotation from Blekfrayrs daily blog:

"The bottom line: Some analysts argue that the launch of iPhone will fail if Apple was unable to sell 100000 iPhones the first week. Based on the limited data, and we will, we believe that number was exceeded only in the first two or three hours. Blackfriars' prediction is that Apple will sell 500000 iPhones this weekend, and based on the limited sales rate reported that at the present time the number looks quite achievable. The only question is whether the iPhone supply and demand is great enough that they can seek past million unit mark this weekend. "

Apple must be pleased with such strong sales over the first weekend, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain the sales activities in the coming weeks and months
