According to Billboard magazine, to make the case the Beatles back catalogue available for sale online through iTunes was "almost resolved".

Paul McCartney told billboard: "I do not want to prejudge anything, but we are on the way to something there, which is very interesting."

Some reports say McCartney is rumored to make more than 200 million pounds from the transaction.

Efforts to clear The Beatles "for the distribution of digital music have been prior action on the part of the long-standing rivalry between Apple Inc and The Beatles' label, Apple Corps. The two sides finally settled the dispute in February, paving the way for distribution through iTunes and other digital retailers.

McCartney holds press tour for his new album, "Memory almost complete," his first to be available for downloading and streaming on the PC and mobile phones. This album should be on June 5 Starbucks' new Hear Music label. Starbucks previously announced that the McCartney album will be available on its Hear Music section of the Apple iTunes Store.
