The new Nano continues the growth trend of its predecessors and is true to Apple's legacy of springing surprises. It packs multiple features in a thin, colourful and large screened body at a reasonable price. Surprise, surprise the new Nano comes with a video camera and a FM radio. The new model is nearly identical to the earlier model in design except it now has a slightly larger 2.2-inch screen (up from 2 inches) and features a glossy, polished aluminium finish. The back features a tiny camera lens on the lower right side.

All features from the 4th generation are carried over with a pedometer, Genius Mix support, voice recording, a built-in speaker, video camera, and an FM radio being added for good measure. The location of the lens is little awkward and it does not take still photos or HD video, but at the price and features the video camera in the nano is a steal. The camera shoots videos in 640x480-pixel resolution and MP4/H.264 video recording format. The 8 GB version can store up to 16 hours of video.
