Virgin Mobile increased its customer base contract by about 75 percent in 12 months, but noted the decline in ARPU as advance payment for the migration of customers to low-cost SIM-only deals.

He currently has 578,600 customers in the contract, compared with 328,800 in the third quarter of 2007. He also had a contract net additions record number 78300 to 29700 from year to year.

Virgin Media chief executive Neil said: "In Mobile, we have succeeded in the fourth record in growing our mobile contract basis, mainly through cross-selling to our customers.

"Our business has demonstrated good resistance, as a goal, we shoot down, drive more efficiency throughout the group and improve our product attractive suites.
"The new wholesale rates [agree with T-Mobile] mean that we should be able to more competitive pricing in the market growing use of mobile data to be more attractive to customers with greater value."
