After making waves with the Touch earlier this year, HTC has now decided to give the device a makeover. The new Touch Dual features not only a touchscreen but also an alphanumeric keypad that slides out from under the display. The device will still be running Windows Mobile 6 (Professional) and will still feature the TouchFLO interface, which allows users to glance through mails, messages, music and images by running a finger across the screen.

Just like the Touch, the Touch Dual seems to be a product that is a blend of lifestyle and enterprise features. On board will be apps like an office suite, a PDF reader and push mail, as well as multimedia add ons. By including a keypad with a touchscreen, HTC seems to be following the likes of Palm and i-mate, whose recent devices allow data entry by both interfaces. But will HTC's move make messaging addicts convert to the Touch? Well, a lot will depend on the price tag that it will carry. Marlket speculation is that it will cost in the vicinity of Rs 30,000 - that might scare off some users, as it would be significantly
higher than the original Touch which is down to Rs 17,900. Watch this space!
