I have a Nokia E61 that I absolutely live by. The other day it got wet and now it’s not working. Is there anything I can do to save it?

You don’t worry about that.
You fully dry out your mobile or keep your mobile in sun light for few minits and after some time it automatically get on.

You first remove there battery and concern to the repair store.

Well it seems some part of your phone damaged by water.There is a programming called flashing which can heal all these malfunctions.Though i am not a technician i can't suggest a good way for you.Better visit a nokia showroom and make them analyze your phone.

This situation happen with me also. My N73 get wet. If your any software was not damage, it should be repaired.
