Yes it is possible to run more than one application at the same time.

After using my E71 with Windows Mobile I have given is absolute rubbish. There is no ability to use VoIP 2 Exchange email ... WinME in my last phone which was fairly recent will mail up to 5 minutes sometimes to get. In my E71 to arrive instantly.

You should also check that the e-mail push-type for any number of web mail services like Gmail. It also supports attachments, and displays the full HTML email. It is also free now and better integrated into the phone that can be Profimail, since it directly from Nokia.

I like Nokia messaging sound. It’s great.

But I've been able to figure out how to manually set the mail settings to the time of signing. I am using an email account for my website, but the server information is different than the email address. Is there any way to manually register?

I have heard someone complaining on 3.5mm headset jack of E71.
