Thread: The Nokia 6301 Mobile Java Games

I just pick a new Nokia 6301 for T-Mobile and immediately went to my install Opera Mini and Google Maps that I had been using in my script and RIZR. Both would be installed but due to the Netherlands authorization error. I noticed that some others have posted similar issues with the new model Nokia T-mobile. Most had some form of work around it. Is there a patch for this phone or is it still new to know? Thank you.

From what I understand, the only way around this is for Nokia and T-Mobile to release a new firmware version that does not have the same closure. As a datapoint, there were at least six months elapsed between the 6263 release and a brand of T-mobile firmware update available from Nokia that allows 3rd party applications (and removed some T-mobile).

T-Mobile really let loose so some restrictions on the Nokia 6263 or is that just published a new firmware for the T-mobile and fixed? If T-Mobile is actually playing ball then it may be good news for Nokia and the future of them.

Does anyone know of an application to be signed with the appropriate permissions java applications and the phone will work normally? Does not seem an easier method, instead of flashing firmware to a device to ruin the warranty.

A new firmware was made available through official channels with the Nokia brand T-mobile in it for 6263. If it was intentional or not is not entirely clear. I wish I had visited before buying my Nokia 6301, the lack of 3rd party applications makes the phone almost useless to me. The e-mail application is locked to the suppliers who do not use it, except for Gmail - I think it has to allow POP3 access to that work. Phone is nice but too many limitations that I appreciate a lot. Phone is very simple and easy to use, great "day off work" type of phone.

i just got it the phone and I was so excited about some of the software that you can find until I got and tried to install ....... very upset now ..... Why block things like this ... I mean, do understand the need to block, but if you know how to do things you should be able to install things on the phone to spend money on........

If you have the latest firmware for rm-323 and RM-337 just flash the phone with the image of RM-337 and the phone is unbranded. Remind your configuration backup in the "settings" or can not use after his unbranding UMA phone. That will solve the problem with the constraints ^ ^. And I'm very happy with my XD.
