Default The Nice Asus A3E Laptop

    Hi everyone,

I can not imagine that there is an option in the BIOS settings that allows you to easily erase the BIOS (with some random keys to be pushed). I guess it was some kind of BIOS recovery and was removed from the bios with the intent to re-flash, but is turned off.

There is a crisis-recovery process can be done if it is a Phoenix BIOS, you need the bios on a floppy and a 3.5 internal or external drive. If Phoenix is not sure what the process is.

I really do not know if it's a Phoenix BIOS and I no longer have the screen that I can not see in the scrapbook. I will search the manual asus am lucky and maybe there is some information somewhere.

I've seen this many times, F4, some older people can access standard Asus BIOS flash program just press F4 at the beginning and the BIOS flash program will start to look for new BIOS, and if you can not find anything that goes begin to clear the BIOS and restore the BIOS, most times people are scared and just turn it off when they see "can not find the BIOS, BIOS erased ...", so the BIOS has ido and computer no longer post.

So I've been trying and trying, but unfortunately no progress has been made... I made a bootable USB Flash Drive, but it is not booting. I see the USB drive to a second flash, when the power, but that's all. It seems that it is not booting. Remove the HDD CDdrive and only if it does not change. I read something about the boot block the bridge over the thread you linked, but as the thread is for HP portable bridges that do not want to do without the right to know with certainty I connect jumpers. Even they have not confirmed a Phoenix BIOS...

I want to tell you blind flash work’s when the BIOS still working and detects all the devices.

Q: what rocket scientist came up with that idea?
    A: Asus R&D.

How to know if the Asus has the Phoenix BIOS? My Sager 2090 and I know that Phoenix has to use a hard drive works. I did see many posts stating that they could get the USB device to work at all with it.

And external USB floppy drive or work has to be a floppy drive bay? I read that in CTRL + HOME Biosman may require a BIOS AMI BIOS with flash. It's worth a shot...
