I am happy that others also have that problem I was not having this with my ThinkPad, but I am running with my Averatec is giving this problem which I love the most.
I have that Averatec has finally replaced the motherboard and touchpad on my 1020. The cursor is now working well.
I want to tell that my sisters laptop also has this same problem and I tried everything but nothing works properly it’s a Dell e1505, and she is not touching the touchpad accident.
I have recently gone through this problem when I switched to vista and I used the Microsoft touchpad drivers.
I am really not sure that this will work or no but it has helped me in solving my problems with touchpad jumping.
This download has solved my problem on my to laptop.
It does the work of disabling the touchpad while you are tying. I used to type at about 200 wpm and it would drive me crazy until I found Touch freeze
I was going through to that problem as I have described in the thread cursor randomly jumping while tying.
