Default Averatec 2370 will not start up till DEATH apart from power light

    Hi,everybody

I had left the charger plugged in for over 12 hrs now and green power light show full charge. There is no other light and there is no other sound whenever I press the power button.

I think you should contact Averatec to see if there is a jumper or contact that can be shorted to clear the CMOS.

My guess is that you have a blown fuse on the motherboard. You’d have to disassemble to check for that, though.

I think you must let your laptop set for at least 24 hrs and then rapidly pressing the power button in frustration work.

Can anyone give me the suggestion?

Running Symantec AV, FW. I think it has messed up more stuff than it’s fixed for me.

It is a vista issue; its not that few people get it now and then, I think it is vista and remember people talking about it.

I felt that the issue is moreover about power supply or more likely BIOS related, particularly the ACPI. The cure is to remove the battery and AC charger then letting the power supply capacitors discharge.
