Very cool... can you post some pictures when you get time? I am thinking about ordering the Lenovo Y450 - 418939U which has the same "predictable" delivery date as your model. Nice to know it indoors rapidly!

To speed things up disable drive indexing stops your HD from always working in the background. Also Ready Common used Intel wifi setup instead, Norton, Veriface, desktop navigator disable vista auto defrag...some of the others I just disabled thru my startup manager, not deleted. The D drive has the entire software backup if you need them. Also disabled BIOS sound splash. If I think of any more, I will let you know. Cheers

I use Comodo .have never had difficulty. Average is good also. & avast...I do not visit strange sites either....for me it is very simple to join those types of problems...anyways, Norton has always been a pain for me. Too much control...& capital, also difficult to fully get rid of.... where as I like to have full control... Comodo is free & comes with a built in firewall. I disable Windows firewall. IMO

Be careful improvement your hd. Lenovo's warranty sticker will break, at least on my Lenovo y430.

It is true about the warranty, that is why I will stay a bit then, but I really like my SSD vertex the apex would make this thing really fly. Quicker then my old raptors... 240mb read 160 mb write. This lenovo lappy is only about 60 mb read....very easy to switch out back & forth....cheers...

I want to know how loud the beep is when you plug/unplug the A/C adapter. A couple people were complaining it was obnoxiously loud.
