Default Adding Aftermarket interior GPS to the Panasonic CF-29

The reason that the signal is not collected, although much is that blocks of magnesium, which, like a hot girl friends at the bar. (Both see what we are trying to do and turn it off)

You have the right idea but the wrong hardware. You need a small antenna for installation on all the way at the end of the black plastic trim. I encountered a similar situation of a large landfill in the GPS antenna bumpout the Panasonic CF-28 ... 2 satellites and that is all.

Nice article! I have a Panasonic cf-29, but enjoyed the post and photos. Probably one of the most daring mods sent from the old days of scanning the card in the RIM 28. Welding cable must have been difficult.

I didn’t know that the dimension of the antenna of the mouse until it has had on my hands and opened. I was hoping that the mouse is sensitive enough, but the middle area of the antenna is behind the metal.

I am very impressed! It seems that we are getting somewhere. Do you think the same gps fitting his engine on the Panasonic CF-28 that works? I do not like much, but the external antenna. Apparently, if you can get the parts from the factory gps cheap that could help with installation of an antenna in the larger plastic housing.

I think the plastic is almost the same. The prices were high for the population and the GPS antenna motor. The prices of the other stuff are all over the place. Yes ... I believe in using the Panasonic MS-408 for installation on the 29th. My original thoughts were to unsolder the antenna patch that comes with the 408 ... But you need an antenna to get active through the plastic case. I found one that works in the blow out in the 28 (finally!) I can not remember the model number off the hand, but I bought it off usglobalsat.

To prevent a decline in accuracy, I built a switch on the front left. But if someone forget to manually turn off the GPS, if the laptop is off, regardless of the voltage is 5V GPS. To avoid this, I of the line connecting the switch with no cn18, but with the power of an external USB port.

    Ok! Guys, for the head,

I managed to work Panasonic EM408 Toughbook Panasonic CF-29 as a first step. Unfortunately temporarily is connected outside of the laptop. The data is streaming, but I do not even complete materials to verify their reliability for example, I have not yet sarantel antenna. I will publish all the trips and after the complete diagram of everything. For the initial report, here is the picture for your reference.
