Default Averatec cursor jumping around screen

    Hi,everyone

No one else has experienced this? You're writing and suddenly the cursor jumps to another position, usually a few lines above and suddenly you're writing between the lines you've already written.

I've seen that before and frankly, I do not know if there is a solution. It is likely that only an error or its interaction with the machine. How often does this happen?

It could be that your palm is touching the touch pad as you type. Evidence for the touchpad with something like a credit card and see if it helps.

It happens very often. I really do not think that is the touchpad, as you move the mouse cursor around and not the text. And the position of hands when the rate does not ever really touch the touchpad.

My 3270 did that, sometimes, under Windows, but does it all the time under Linux. I think it is related to the touchpad ... if you disable the touchpad, it stops happening.

Under the mouse pad settings you can check a box to hide the cursor when typing... when you finish writing the touch pad... you may also check the box and press Ctrl = cursor again ...

My Dell Inspiron 600m with XP home has two mouse hardware schedules. One called HID obedient mouse which appears to be my Dell exterior visual mouse and the other is called PS/2 well-matched mouse. I can disable the HID compliant (external) mouse but I can't find anywhere in the Mouse manage panel where to immobilize the (presumed internal) mouse pad.

Hilarious thing is, since I installed my Logitech mouse drivers, I no longer have any touchpad options anywhere. The Logitech software essentially took in excess of the entire "mouse" options.

I have the same trouble with my pointer. I'm using a 2 year old SONY Vaio laptop running XP. No matter which app I am by I can be typing when the pointer will switch up to an earlier place inserting the text I am typing. Very annoying to say the slightest! It makes me want to shun the SONY and use my Dell PC which has its own sole problems as well. They all have one trouble or another!!

Averatec fix lastly replaced the motherboard and touchpad on my 1020. The pointer is very firm now. All functions are there as far as if know.
