The Gateway EC1409u is one of three ultra-compact notebooks (EC1409u, EC1430u, and EC1435u) launched in October 2009. It aspects an Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250GB SATA hard-disc drive. Although gamely reasonable, the EC1409u yet packs sufficient of a punch to handle modern-day video and audio content, as well as rapid Internet connectivity. This owes in part to the included Intel Graphics Accelerator, included Dolby technology, AND included hi-speed wired and wireless connectivity choices. Included also is a fixed webcam, fixed microphone and somewhat small 11.6” LCD display. The reckoning behind dipping the display size was to permit the unit to begin less space.
