Simmtronics Semiconductors, a well ¬known electronic company, has joined netbook fray. They have introduced a budget priced compact netbook-Simmbook. The Simmbook is an ultra portable netbook and is one of the slimmest available in the market. It is powered by the Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor; other specifications include 1 GB RAM and 160 GB hard drive. There is an option to upgrade storage to 500GB and memory up to 2GB.
The netbook has a glossy finish and is available in a choice of three colours, red, black and blue. Although the glossy black exterior is an eye catching, you should be prepared for finger prints, which are unavoidable. The keyboard has been slightly modified to fit into the ultra compact size of the netbook. Initially it may feel a little cramped. The Simmbook sports a 10.2in screen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. We were informed that the other versions of Simmbook are capable of supporting Windows XP. The netbook had a pair of HD audio speaker, internal microphone, 802.11 B/G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera and Ethernet controller.
