The LG Bullet 276 is an entry-level phone that comes with anti-theft mobile tracking technology.Although plain-looking, the phone is sturdy and light, making it ideal for new users. Aimed at the masses, it supports Hindi text and has a Hindi dictionary.

LOOKS
LG's latest addition to the entry level segment, the Bullet 276 has a rather plain appearance. 'A black plastic body with a colour screen' more or less defines it. That said, it tips the scales at a mere 60 grams, and has a keypad that is easy to use and also prevents the accumulation of dirt in the grooves. But beneath those less than breath¬taking looks are features that merit a second glance.





FUNCTIONALITIES GALORE
Targeting the Hindi masses, the Bullet 276 supports Hindi text and dictionary. Just go to the message window, click on 'write message' and change the language preference. However, there is a problem - there is no way to see the message directly. You have to go through three steps to view a single message, which can get a little irritating at times.

For all those who are scared of their phone getting pinched, the Bullet 276 is a good option as it comes with mobile tracking software. One just goes to 'tools,' navigates to 'anti-theft software,' and enters the LMT security code number. The application then asks you to give two names and numbers that should be notified in case someone puts in a new 81M card in the phone. These numbers get a security warning giving the number of the newly inserted 81M as well as the location it is placed in. The phone also has a speakerphone option - a rarity in mobiles in this segment. The battery, however, falls short of expectations. Though it is sup¬posed to last for 2.5 hours of talktime on a single charge, we had to charge it more frequently.
