The Apple 3G iPhone, Improvements to the latest iPhone don't end at the vastly improved 3G download speeds - there's support for A-GPS, all manner of games and productivity software available from the recently launched App Store, and a redesigned rear end. The quality metallic finish of the original has been replaced with a tapered, shiny plastic back cover. We feared this would dilute the iPhone's lustre, but it not only makes the slightly bigger chassis look slimmer but the production dumb-down means the iPhone can now be made available for a retail price of less than 30 grand.
Every facet of its peerless multi-touch interface is still the satellite fix using A-GPS. Thanks to a new software update, the iPhone 3G has also had a fine-tune. There's now support for Microsoft Exchange email servers, plus the new iTunes Genius technology that automatically creates similar sounding playlists from ana lysing just one song from your collection. And of course, this is still the best-sounding and most user-friendly music phone around.
