Thread: What to do about dust under screen?

If I am the dust under my screen, I can get it swapped for a new one? If so, what is the preferred method for the care of this?

As you can see there are many other threads on this state so I think you can return it.

Is there a preferred method for handling the return, however, as I think there is a problem for the crack? For example, there are a number to call for support in the first place, or simply walk into Best Buy right (I would like to avoid having to step foot in there) and return it?

I suppose that with Best Buy you can walk right in. I do not know if they send it to the Apple Store or not. If they did, which probably has to call for an appointment?

Whatever you do, do not try to open it and remove the dust yourself. I tried mine, and the LCD cracked. No glass, but the LCD screen. I was very careful and follow the instructions on you tube; I also bought the right tools to do so.

All you need do is turn the device off, remove the SIM tray, and use of compressed air, once in the sim tray port... should remove any particles within the glass. You can buy cans of compressed air at your local computer or electronics store.

Yes, I have dust on my iPhone ... and I live in Ottawa so there’s no Apple Store and I bought this from a friend as Rogers does not cover. Should I ask Apple for a replacement or something?

I tried this and did nothing. I do not think we even went and tried to dust from the hole on the SIM tray, and the dock connector hole. Until I tried to stick to a gap, while the other end of blowing compressed air.

I went to the Apple Store in Toronto and change it. I told them that he had a light leak on the side, and dust in between the LCD and glass. They said they could not see the light leak, but that could change for the powder. Your best bet is to go to an Apple Store and talk to the genius bar about how to swap.

I think they will swap it, I had swap mine because of some issue.
